Transition to the Next Module

As you complete this module, reflect on the unique role that Human Intelligence (HUMINT) plays within the intelligence community. Throughout this module, you examined how intelligence organizations collect information through human sources, including informants, confidential sources, undercover operatives, and intelligence officers. You also explored the strengths and limitations of HUMINT, including issues of trust, deception, source reliability, and counterintelligence risks. While HUMINT often provides insights that cannot be obtained through technical means, intelligence organizations also rely heavily on technology-driven collection methods to gather information.
